This is sliceVoodooHDA driver with Voodoo HDA Helper

This kext is working for me the way i want, sound works, internal mic as well, settings are kept intact after reboot with the use of the helper, there is also an application that avoids the terminal to open upon boot. There is a readme inside please follow it to install.

Don't forget to remove existing VoodooHDA and VoodooPrefpane

Can this kext be EFI loaded or must it be SLE loaded and remove VooDooHDA.kext etc.?

I'm still looking for a comprehensive microphone fix for my SL Vanilla EFI install!!

Thanks cyberghoser!!

Yes this can be booted from EFI

for efi boot would you just drag it into the efi kext folder overwrite and run the update command?

You can use Dalton's new script if you don't like terminal work, but usually:
(This assumes sliceVoodooHDA.kext is located at EFIkext folder)

cd ~/Downloads/Vanilla/EFIkext
./27ae.sh
./update.sh

is the procedure i do when i need to update and or refresh my EFI partition.

Did you actually read the readme file inside the archive ?

Install sliceVoodooHDA.kext with KextHelper
Place the Voodoo HDA app on the utilities folder and the VoodooHDA folder under /Library (On root not user)

Done.

Did you do vanilla or used the converter? because on vanilla sliceVoodooHDA is already provided in the vanilla.zip i just added on this thread the Voodoo HDA app and folder to prevent the terminal show up.

Ok then, just do what the readme says and replace the prefpane and you are set with this.

I guess you want to know which settings allows the internal mac to work properly?
Well, I want the same =)

I used some settings from msiwind.net forums previously, but since they always got reset I just gave up using it.

Now there are competent people around and settings are stored, so I would also like to see a screenshot of how you keep your settings so internal mic works properly =)

I tried a bunch of settings. The best I got was loud static plus low voice, or loud voice and silence in intervals.
